Third party candidates won't be viable unless the Republican party continues on its death spiral that started with Reagan. So if you want more parties, work toward hastening their demise.

How do the 92 elections, 2010 elections, and republicans in the white house for 3 out of 6 terms count as a death spiral?

During that time, Republicans have gone from Reagan to Bush to Shrub to Romney (who only won because the other front-runners were complete losers).
Likewise it has intellectually gone from Bill Buckley to Rush Limbaugh.

In its bid to hold onto failed economic policies it has moved from the party of attracting voters with common sense, intelligence and caution to the party of attracting right-wing radical ideologues, religious idiots, conspiracy theorists and tea-party morons to the point where even Reagan could not be nominated today.

The 2010 elections were the product of the Democrats' failure to turnout, not that the GOP had any natural popularity in and of itself. The GOP remains a relic of the Cold War 21 years after the fact, and it's running into severe issues from that, what with the necessity to keep invoking threats that never were to rally the base.

Exactly. I would love a serious contender to the Democrats that doesn't constant demonize most of the nation on a daily basis for their financial situations or use their religion as an excuse for their abhorrent actions.
