Life after Cardiff has been unusually busy, so this report has been delayed, which means that I've forgotten a good portion of what I wanted to say. Ah well, the motto around these parts is "better to do something half-assedly than to not do it all." So here goes.
Let me preface this report with a huge thank you to

I didn't even mention the fact that Pam gave me presents! I thought it would seem too over-the-top. But she did give me gifts; she's an artist and she gave me a rolling pin and a flower pot that she painted herself. They're so pretty. I'm going to give them to my Mom for Mother's Day.
It was great to see Boppy again. She was running around with con business, so we didn't get a whole lot of one-on-one time, but it was nice, nevertheless.
I must email you about the Finale Party. There's definitely going to be a Chicago Fangirl contingent descending on your house. :)

HAHA. I notice a trend in my con reports--it usually comes down to me describing food a lot. :)
Glad you enjoyed the read, though!

Aww, I missed that! :( I was busy touring the pharmacies of Cardiff Bay (there are more than you think! that place sprawls...) in a long adventure with the NHS. The funny thing was after about half a dozen phone calls and at least three pharmacies involved, they finally gave me a WHOLE SHITLOAD OF DRUGS FOR FREE. Either that or I totes was too ill to pay and just strolled out with them. ::scratches head at foggy memory::
The muffins, they had been hyped.
There's a lesson there for con organisers everywhere... ;) :) The photos of Alex and I collapsing in hysterics over the disappointing muffins are very dear to me. I must send them on to you. :)
You were exceptionally stealthy with your morning sneak-out. Jackie and I were both impressed! And you are so very gracious here not to mention how hysterical and exhausted I looked the whole time. ;)

You held up amazingly well under pressure, seriously. I was impressed by your grace and humor all weekend long.

Awww, but it was lovely to read your con report but cus it reminded me of some great stuff and also because it make me geekishly happy that you enjoyed (most of) Cardiff (eeeeeevil security guards notwithstanding!)
As to the Premieres show and colouring - I think that everyone thinks their vid looks shit up there? I know that my first reaction to mine was that I'd screwed up the colour correction because it looked much darker than it did on my screen. Having talked to others about it and thought about it I honestly think it's just because we're watching it projected on a wall rather than on a screen. I think the projector washes stuff out slightly and also darkens things a little? Not so much you usually notice, but enough you notice when it's your vid?
That's my theory anyway. And I thought your vid looked fine!

No? LOL, that just makes the whole thing even more priceless.

Indeed! Cardiff was a dream, a beautiful, beautiful dream.

I do get that sense, too. Still, it pained me to watch, especially since (to my eye) other people's vids seemed to fare much better in comparison. But that's just me being a self-critical, hypersensitive artiste. LOL.
