Assorted Blather and Vidding Notes
Sorry for the general silence around these parts. My life continues in a pleasantly boring fashion, so I don't have much to say about RL. Fannishly, I have been consuming a shit ton of Kirk/Spock fic; I'm like a voracious beast. I've even wandered into the wilds of fanfiction.net to get my fix. There's this one fic there, "Atlas" by angelbaby1 (<---!!!) that has me considering getting alerts, even. Somebody hold me back!
I've also been vidding (well, clipping, really) and thinking about all of the vids I want to make before the end of the year. I'm pushing myself because I want to have a couple of vids to submit to escapade_con since I'm registered and am determined to go next year. California in February? Hell, yeah, sign me up.
What's in the hopper right now:
Leverage, Hardison/Parker/Eliot focus. I've finished the rough clipping, but I'm procrastinating because I picked a really fast-paced, somewhat lengthy song, and I know it's going to take so.many.clips to fill the timeline. WORK, bleh.
Middleman, Lacey/Wendy femmeslash-y vid. Still have to do the rough clipping for this one, but with only 14 episodes total, it shouldn't take too long. LOVE the song I picked.
Transformers 1&2, Sam/Bumblebee slash. I wanted to start clipping this last night with my newly received Transformers 2 DVDs, but DVD Decryptor couldn't crack it. Wahhh. Has anyone managed to crack this one yet? I want my robot/human slash, dammit.
Captain Kirk vid to Lady Gaga song. It's Kirk's turn to project his inner Lady Gaga! LOL. It's gonna be TOS/Reboot, but I'm so rusty on my TOS, if anyone wants to help me out, I'd appreciate it. I'm going to be needing clips where Kirk gets his ass kicked. "Amok Time" is a given, of course. :) Any other really pivotal eps I shouldn't neglect? Or is it basically the entire show I should be clipping? After all, when doesn't Kirk get his ass kicked?
Angsty epic Kirk/Spock vid, TOS/Reboot. This is the one I want to premiere at Escapade, but I have such grandiose ideas for the vid, I really don't know if I'll finish in time.
