I just watched Dario Argento's "Opera." A classic? People actually like this movie? What the hell? Not scary, thrilling or anything else that would be associated with "classic" horror film. Just plain lame. Suspiria is where it's at, baby. Suspiria is one of my top horror films of all time and yet I am not an Argento fan. Sad.
Tried watching Tobe Hooper's recent Toolbox Murders. Couldn't get through the first fifteen minutes. Just awful awful. What's funny is it was filmed at the same hotel we shot the Snoop Dogg movie, the Ambassador Hotel. I recognized the place's elevator instantly. In the movie Sheri Moon Zombie was walking down a hallway and I pointed out to Joelle the room I used to store my tools. The place still looked like crap, but at least they had a better set decorator than us. Hollywood: What a small town!
