OH HAI THAR COHERENCY: Merlin 1x11 Review
Ok I found my coherency button, I will actually write something (slightly) more sensible now, please excuse my last post of squee and pointlessness (yes, that means you Rach) :P
Well, that was all a bit like some kind of Princess Bride / Goblet of Fire crossover thing where everybody got to Learn Something.
Not that it made it bad, obviously!
This episode was actually awesome, a nice change of pace from previous weeks, and infinatly more magical. More much of a fantasy feeling to this one, in contrast to last weeks very human episode.
If you see what I mean.
Arthur really does act like such a tit sometimes. I was quite angry with him for killing the unicorn, why would you want to kill something so beautiful?
Plus he was super mean to Merlin for a good half the episode, although all the touching and close proximity didn't go unnoticed, believe me.
HOW SLASHY WAS THAT RAT STEW SCENE?! (There's a sentence I never thought I'd say) OMG though, he practically held his hand and if he got any closer he might as well of just kissed him and been done with it. O___O
All the banter was winsome, and the failed hand signals, omg how cute <3
Fortunately Arthur more than made up for his prattishness by the end, what with all the "woe is my kingdom" and sacrificing himself.

They're not even bothering with the Het anymore are they? They realise it is futile.
CANON ADMITTANCE THAT MERLIN IS IN ARTHUR'S HEART. NO ONE CAN DENY IT.
How on earth did they find that maze by the way? WTH did it even come from? Apart from The Goblet of Fire. Obviously. I swear the only thing I could picture during that bit was Prelusion's seriously hilarious icon with "You're a wizard, Harry!" on it. Fo' real. xD
I was so glad the unicorn was alive again at the end, awwww <3

Ok so the small complaints, because I can never resist (moaning bugger, I really am.)
The scene with Merlin thinking Arthur was dead. Hmm, perhaps could of done with another take? Considering the sheer power of Will's death scene last week it all seemed a bit...lacklustre. Although I can put it down to shock/denial on Merlin's part, whereas when Will was dying it was all very final and undeniable.
And really I shouldn't complain what with all the touching and teary-eyes.
Oh and there really wasn't enough Morgana or Gwen, but it looks like another very Morgana-centric ep next week, so I'mma let it slide this time :P
And for crying out loud who did the CGI for the root that trapped Merlin? MY EYES IT BURNNNNNNNNS D:
Um yes, I think that's all, besides the uber predictability of everything. But that really doesn't matter.
So all in all another great slashtastic episode! Oh and the Merlin/Gaius food scenes had me LOLing so badly! The beetles, ewwww xD I thought I'd switched over to I'm a Celeb for a second. It was very funny though!
