New Year's (Journal) Resolution

I've had a LiveJournal Account for a little over a year now, but as one could see I've not made use of the journal during that time - the extent of my LJ activities have been reading friends' journals and participating in a LJ community for adult fans of the Pokemon games. This isn't necessarily a first for me - my DeviantArt account is much the same, although I haven't commented on much using that account. So for the new year, my goal (or "resolution") is to make more/better use of the various online technologies to which I have access.

The first part of this started in December of 2007; when I started thinking about the website for the USS Wyvern RPG. I haven't accomplished many of my goals with the site since the Wyvern started, which mostly centered around automating the site with a homebrew content management system - or as I call it, the [Fire]storm site manager, or "SSM" for short. About two weeks ago, I started converting the webpage code from HTML/Tables to XHTML/CSS. This results in smaller/cleaner code, and will hopefully make it easier to translate the static pages into a database-driving cms.

In addition to working on the Wyvern website, which (as is typical for websites) is an ongoing project, I'm planning to also make more use out of LiveJournal by posting regular journal entries. DeviantArt, well, if I ever find something I feel like commenting on, I will, but I rarely have anything to say (constructive or otherwise) outside of commenting on journal entries. And we'll see how things progress from there.

new year, website
