Deja vu all over again
So. Yeah
Had a meeting with $boss today - wev'e just lost our biggest client. No real fault on either end - they've been taken over by YMCA and after courting us for a bit YMCA have decided to go with their own guys. It's actually something we've been considering for a while - telling said client to take a fucking hike because they're $35k in debt to us, and their demands are getting frankly unreasonable.
Except we were planning on doing it when we had more secure footing.
Which of course, we don't.
And our current client base without them won't be able to support my wages.
so. We have up until may 20th to scare up some new ones, or I put on my shoes and start walking the streets again. yaaay
Except this time it's not just his lordship and I in a decent place as we ever are (we can manage on just one salary - tight, but doable), but myself, his lordship, a 17 year old lad and associated costs with schooling, feeding and clothing said 17 year old. Oh and taking care of his medical needs.
Seriously crazy dejavu right now. My stomach's been acting up for the past couple of weeks - I honestly attribute that purely to the family clusterfuck surrounding our latest zoo addition - annd work has been nuts. And I haven't been sleeping right. And there's this movie I'm rather excited to see, coming out right near my sister's birthday and facing job loss -
...Yeah, longtime readers have heard this fucking tune before. (And the most prevalent reoccurences occur at the 2.5-3 year mark. Yay!)
