I'm amused.
You can tell when your job has become a little monotonous when you find yourself finding ways to entertain yourself during the long hours. Not to say that time doesn't fly, because it does, for which I'm grateful. So this is one of the things I did, quite spontaneously mind you, yesterday. I had to go collect nine Ortega Taco Seasoning packets. All right, no problem. I pull the cart behind me, find the packets, scan the barcode, and start pulling out nine of the little buggers. I count them, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8...and the ninth one wouldn't let go of the next one in the box. So I had to work it out a bit, sorta like those bags that grocery stores have to place fruit in, and after accomplishing the task of releasing it from it's enamored box-mate I triumphantly pulled it out, slapped it on my pile and said, "Nine! Nine Ortega packets! Ah! Ah! Ah!" In very much the style of Count from Sesame Street. Thunder and lightning even crackled in my ears, I swear. lol Thus, are my days at work. I've counted things in Japanese on rare occasion as well, but it's not much of a challenge when you constantly only need three or so of any one item.
