[Kratos is standing underneath the cover of a few trees, gazing out over the yard and looking epic. Of course, that comes with the careful, pensive look he's wearing. Not only have his problems just begun to escalate around the world he's residing in, but he's trying to figure out the nature of this dressing room-type place.]

... Noishe...? [He can't believe it. Really. Uh. That mana signature HAS to be someone else's. Because... he's not seeing this.]

[ and he deflates, his head sinking down, shudders running through his whole body. ]
You ... you idiot ...

... Forgive me, Noishe. I could not bear to say farewell to anyone save my son, not while Derris-Kharlan drifted so readily.

You could have stayed ... Or I could have come with you ...

My friend... As my fate is to bear the sins of Cruxis alone, yours is to remain at Lloyd's side, as you once did mine.

[ And right now, Noishe really wants to hug Kratos, just to make sure he's really there, but knows he wouldn't like it. He wipes his face as best he can and looks up, smiling. ]

So, how'd you end up here? I was in Iselia Forest when I suddenly showed up in this place. In human form, no less.

Typically, I reside in a castle that steals people from their own worlds and timelines and imprisons them there for an indeterminate amount of time. As you can guess, I was taken there after my leave to Derris-Kharlan.

Sort of. Death is not permanent there, and occasionally the entire castle changes to something else, though I've yet to witness it myself. It can also inflict strange magic on its residents for short periods of time, things that have nothing to do with alternate backgrounds...
I find it a place of second chances, and relatively safe, considering.

Huh. It sounds pretty interesting. What kind of things happen?
I only came here a couple of days ago but this place seems quiet. There was a [ gulp ] d-demon gate around here, but Lloyd closed it up with his Eternal Sword awhile ago.
