[Ever since Elsa made those crepes for her, Chloe has been planning on returning the baked goods favour and, while she was at it, making some for the rest of her friends. So, it's time for some muffins! However, once she had gotten everything set up, she realized that she didn't have an apron. Luckily enough, a search through the house has turned up an apron in a closet.
Problem: it's pink. With frills.
After about an hour (actually about a minute) of dotting at it, she checked to make sure her housemates were out and locked the door. Then, with regret, she put on the pink apron. After all, with the door locked, anyone trying to enter would have to knock, giving her time to take off the apron and hide it somewhere before she opened the door!
This might have worked, except a few problems arose.
Since she had spent her morning doing sword drills and other such training, it wasn't until later in the day that she started baking, making it fairly warm while she was using the oven. So, after a while, she opened a window to cool things down, allowing the smell of baking muffins to waft outside.
Then, after she had placed the first pan in the oven, she realized that she didn't have enough flour for the second batch of muffins, so she had taken off the apron to run over for some more. When she got back, the first batch was in danger of burning, so she just shut the door over as she ran to rescue the pan from the oven. Then, when she went to wash her hands before continuing on the second batch, the door blew slightly ajar. When she came back and (somewhat unhappily) put the apron back on, she didn't notice, instead concentrating on the muffins.
A note to anyone entering who might be inclined to tease her about the frilly apron too much: while she is, for once, not wearing her sword (since it would get in the way a bit in baking), it is resting next to the counter in easy reach. >:( For those wise enough not to earn her wrath, there are muffins available for friends on the cooling rack, although since it's so difficult to keep track of all the new Legacy people going in and out of this place, she might be a bit bad at rationing them out so not to run out. On the plus side, this means that earlycomers might get multiple muffins! And apologies to the people who did all the baking posts I'm copying.]
