[After talking with Jay, Chloe sneaked back into the library of oddly specific books to take a look through one she saw: Unrequited Love: Love Triangles, Just Friends, and More--Including Ten Stories from Great Lives!! After making sure no one was around to see her take it, she had taken it to a corner between some bookshelves where she wouldn't be immediately obvious to try to be able to read it secretly.
At the moment, she's reading through the advertised "stories from great lives" as a way of consoling herself that other people have gotten through it and gone on to do great things. If anyone got close enough to hear her muttering, then it would become quickly obvious that it's not going very well.]
...And so then...he committed suicide? [flips forward a few pages] ...She killed the man who was her rival and then the man she loved?! [flipping forward, more quickly and less carefully] ....He swore off women and only dated men? [flipping forward again, not as agitatedly as last time, but still quickly] .....She became a nun? I thought these were supposed to be encouraging!
