...Is this why Italy use the women's boot to contain beer in the anime?

See Italy's map. Doesn't it look like a woman's boot? I think it does.

Number of guns in circulation
In some 2001 statistics, it is noted that there are about 420,000 assault rifles stored at private homes, mostly SIG 550 types. Additionally, there are some 320,000 assault rifles and military pistols exempted from military service in private possession, all selective-fire weapons having been converted to semi-automatic operation only. In addition, there are several hundred thousand other semi-automatic small arms classified as carbines. The total number of firearms in private homes is estimated minimally at 1.2 million to 3 million.

...The number of gun ownership never cease to amaze me.

Recreational shooting
Recreational shooting is widespread in Switzerland. Practice with weapons is a popular recreation, and is encouraged by the government, particularly for the members of the militia. Swiss firearms-related rights are supported by the organization ProTell.

200,000 people attend the annual Feldschiessen weekend, which is the largest rifle shooting competition in the world. Hunting rifles have special exemptions under Swiss law. Purchases from dealers of hunting long guns and of small bore rifles are not even recorded by the dealer. In other words, the dealer would not record the sale of a .30-06 hunting rifle, but would record the sale of a .30-06 M1 Garand rifle. According to chapter 2 article 10 of Swiss law, people over the age of 18 do not need a permit to purchase a rifle for use in hunting, off-duty shooting and sport-shooting events.

In addition, there are several private shooting ranges that rent guns. It is possible to go shooting with minimal supervision and without an id-check.

The Schengen Agreement is a treaty signed between five of the then ten member states of the European Community in 1985. It was supplemented by the Convention implementing the Schengen Agreement some five years late, and provided for the removal of systematic border controls between the participating countries.

--

The Schengen Agreement was originally created independently of the European Union, in part due to the lack of consensus amongst EU members, and in part because those ready to implement the idea did not wish to wait for others to be ready to join. Especially United Kingdom and Denmark could not join the union, but Denmark joined later when Norway and other Nordic countries were allowed.

I can totally imagine Denmark joining because Norway and gang is there. I sure can.

Inclusion of the Schengen Laws into the European Union
All states which belong to the Schengen area are European Union members, except Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, which are members of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). Switzerland has joined the bloc’s passport-free travel zone, the Schengen Area, from December 2008.Two EU members (the United Kingdom and Ireland) have opted not to fully participate in the Schengen system. The main reason that the non-EU states of Iceland and Norway joined was to preserve the Nordic Passport Union (see section Pre-Schengen free-travel zones in Europe).

...Does that mean Norway and Iceland are in EU? But I just read wiki's list of EU members and they're not listed there
...well, whatever.

I think I'll stop wiki-ing now...It's already 1.40 am, gotta sleep

---ONE LAST THING--

If there's anything about me you find annoying (such as for posting images like this, or I ramble too much...anything, really!) feel free to say it and I'll try my best to stop doing so.
