The front cover of this book is made from a vintage, 1960 science diagram of leaves, fronds and berries. The paper is cottony soft and in great shape.

The back cover is made from beautifully marbled paper in silver, olive and emerald greens. Another bookbinder sent it to me in a trade, so the quantities I have are highly limited. I love the patterning and how it picks up the colors and theme of the cover illustration.

The spine reinforcements and interior covers are made of Nepalese Lokta paper, batik dyed in monochromatic coffee brown shades. Lokta is made from sustainable fibers, and is completely tree free.

The textblock is made from 60lb, bright white drawing paper. The paper has a good amount of tooth and can handle ink, pencil and many other media.
