Not bad
This year's Christmas ended up being the best I've had with family in a long time! I'm pleasantly surprised.
I had to work Xmas eve, and things were crazy at the grocery store, in which I ended up getting called in early and I didn't leave on time either, but it wasn't as bad as last year. Thankfully.

Once home, a friend from work came over and we opened gifts. I got a lot of great things!

But besides gifts, I got to hang out with my friend from work that I hadn't seen in a while. Finals plus holiday hours were killing us. Then, on Christmas day I woke up and immediately started prepping for a giant Christmas BBQ. We didn't take photos, since we were so busy lol. But we had pork kabobs with jalapeños, green bell peppers, mexican bulb onions, and red bell peppers. My first kabobs ever and OMFG they were SOOOO good. Must make more!
We also grilled chicken legs and thighs, beef short ribs, fajita, and sausage. We went kind of crazy with the quantity but with Ivan's mom, my mom and her boyfriend, my brother, Ivan, and I, plus we gave Ivan's mom a plate to take home for her kid and husband, plus a plate for my grandmother *pants* . Yea... we made a ton of food but because of how many people ended up eating, it was great. My mother also brought some charro beans. Its like salty pinto beans boiled and instead of draining them, you put chorizo, sausage, bits of pork+pork skin, onion, jalapeños, and cayenne pepper to boil with them until the broth thickens and becomes delicious. YUM
Now see, I may be Mexican, but I don't eat beans. I can only eat them like that xD
So we opened some more gifts which were not included in the photo, ate a lot, watched A Christmas Story, which is my xmas tradition, and had an all-around relaxing time. It was very strange. Without fail, there's always a fight with my mother. Except this time. Its was great!
So yea, that's my Christmas. Hope everyone had a great one too! =
