Things falling in place...?
I finally replaced my stolen cell phone. Please, anyone that has my number already, its still the same one ne, so text me and let me know its you so I can add you to my contact list? My back up contact list was in my ipod but....yea ^^; that got stolen too.
Today, I had my first day of on-hands training at my new job. Oh yea, I haven't written about it here. I WAS working at Kroger, in their deli department, but their managers pissed me off. When I tried to call out the day after my armed robbery, due to needing a mental day plus some more sleep to cope, the managers threatened to fire me if I didn't come in. Well, I'd gotten all of about 2 hours of sleep, MAYBE, and they were demanding I come in to work a machine that could possibly slice my fingers off? They were demanding I come in and force a smile when inside I was still falling apart every couple of hours due to what had happened? Fuck that. I'd even asked them straight up, what I just listed here in this entry. All I got was "I understand where you are coming from, and my heart goes out to you, but we don't have anyone to cover your shift" It was 9am when I was trying to call out...my shift didn't start 'till 1pm. Not once did they try to call someone while I was on the line, to see if they could cover my shift. Fuck that. I was even calling through skype, since my phone was stolen, but no understanding what-so-ever. So I pretty much (nicely) told them to go fuck themselves.
So I was fired/quit from Kroger. It was a mutual thing *nods* xD But anyways, I'd already had the opportunity pop up with the grocery store I'm working at right now, Fiesta. I'd gone to the interview the morning of the same day I got robbed ^^; I could tell I'd gotten the job, since we kind of role played some customer service during the interview and the managers were very happy with me =3 So yes, my patience was nonexistent since I was going to quit with Kroger anyway xD;
So yes, first hands-on training at Fiesta today~ I mostly sacked groceries during my shift, but I did get to poke at the register for a few of the smaller transactions. Dear god, the first 2 were confusing as hell though lol. I was feeling the pressure of the long ass lines xD; But of course, after a couple of tries, I felt a bit better.
There's.so.many.produce.codes. Holy crud xD; but over time, I know I'll get quicker ^_^ I like it so far.
I also had class today. College Algebra. Compared to the last meeting, I understood a LOT more. Good, cause I SUCK at algebra ^^;
I had an overall good day today =3
Tomorrow, I take my alcohol seller-server class/training so that I'll be legally allowed to ring up and sell the beer and wine at my grocery store. I'll be able to use this certification with any other job I want if/when I leave Fiesta. So if I wanted, I could be a bartender =D haha
After the class, I'll be running to the post office, resting at home for a bit and then throwing down at a live =DDDDDD Its for the Canadian band, Kittie, who I haven't seen live in a few years, since I kind of fell out of the fandom, but whatever, my friend asked me to come along, it was fairly cheap, and I need a live in my system lol so yes. Hopefully it kicks ass, and hopefully I can get bar >D
