Upcoming interviews and wishlist
I tweeted quite a bit last night about who I'd love to interview in the coming weeks/months.
Before I tweeted, I had confirmed (but not completed) emails set up with young singer Anthony Gargiula (FINALLY DONE), author Bryan Thomas Schmidt (THE NORTHSTAR SERIAL, the upcoming THE WORKER PRINCE, and moderator of Twitter's #SFWRTRCHT), graphic novelist Chip Skelton (BROKEN and TERRAN SANDZ), author/webcomic creator nealbailey , Australian webcomic creator Daniel VanderWerff (SCHOOL SPIRIT) and author EJ FLYNN (PERSPECTIVES OF THE HEART).
Post-tweeting, I've got agreements to be interviewed from jaylake , Gordon McAlpin (of MULTIPLEX), author Jeremy C. Shipp (FUNGUS OF THE HEART, VACATION), and book bloggers RoofbeamReader and TifTalksBooks. And I'm pretty sure about caseystratton .
So who else is on the wishlist?
Editor ellen_datlow ; author-editor-publisher mroctober , graphic novelist Gibson Twist (of the webcomic PICTURES OF YOU), singers Billy Gilman and Matt Johnson; rock bands The Dalliance and Kropp Circle; authors yuki_onna , winscotteckert (aka woldnewtonwin ), graygirl , scottsigler , publisher/author Charles Ardai of HARD CASE CRIME and GABRIEL HUNT... the list is endless, really.
You'll notice most of these are folks I feel I've made some kind of connection with via Livejournal, Twitter, Facebook or their own webpages/books. Not that I'm adverse to interviewing people I don't already "know," but this is a great way to start -- and they are people I believe in.
