My apologies to my Flist for not commenting on your posts lately!  I have been trying to keep up, though!

The second day of the class in Philly went better than I expected, but I of course still know everything I did wrong.  Because that's just me.

On the way home, I stopped in Lambertville and had a bagel and several iced chais at Lambertville Trading Company.  Didn't see any of the gang except Gabe, who was closing the store that night, but Gabe and I had a great couple of hours catching up, chatting about movies and vacations and stuff like that.  Can't believe he's graduating from high school this year.

Had a lazy Saturday morning (slept, mostly) and a lazy Saturday afternoon which could have been spent cleaning the apartment a bit whilst waiting to go to the train station to pick Dave up.  Of course, I didn't clean.  Because again, that's just me.

The evening with Dave was a whirlwind of pop culture conversation and what we've heard from / seen of old friends recently.  I showed him my apartment, then we went to Wal-Mart to buy an air mattress and pillows for him to use (been meaning to do that for ages anyway), then dinner at Olive Garden and a walk through Borders.  Roxie called him while we were there, and while he was outside on his cellphone he saw the local Hilton Garden Inn and thought it would be fun to crash there for the night instead of trekking back to my apartment after the movie finally got out at almost 1 am.  I only live 15 minutes from the mall,  but he made the point that back at my place, we'd be sleeping in seperate rooms and not doing our usual "talk with the tv on until 3am" that we do at his place in NYC, whereas if we were at the hotel, we could certainly do that.  So we did.

We saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.  I'll probably do a longer review post at some point.  Suffice to say, while I thought it was okay (and that it had brilliant performances from Jim Broadbent, Emma Watson, Tom Felton, and the girl who plays Luna), I also felt the ending highly disappointing, and so came out of it with a bit of a "ehhhh .... it was okay" feeling.

This morning we joined the Witt clan for brunch and had a good time catching up. Dave hasn't seen Scott and Margaret in 13 years at least.  The Witts are both great cooks, so I ate way too much.

Dropped Dave back at the train around 330.  We hit a little of the Dover Street Fair, got some pulled pork sandwiches and sodas.  Waiting for the train, we got to hear a loud argument between a couple.  Lots of F-Bombs.  Not even sure what they were fighting about, but at one point she slapped him and he said "You see all these fucking people watching us?  You want one of them to call the cops about an assault?"  Her rejoinder was "Why, you gonna fucking hit me?"  His answer: "I don't hit no fucking women!  But you just fucking hit ME, you fucking idiotic bitch!"

As we walked away from them, Dave said "I love live theater.  It's such a more intimate experience than a movie is."
