Hopefully some of that charge you can bill as a business expense. Does the room not have wired internet at all? :|

The room only has wireless, or I'd have tried the wired connection. Sadly, I cannot claim the internet connection as a business expense, at least not to the company for reimbursement. They pay for all food and local travel (a cab to another casino, for instance, but not a tour of the Grand Canyon), and for one in-room movie per week, but not for internet.

D: Bad interwebs. If you're paying for it, it really should be reliable.

I wouldn't worry about the scruffiness, either. Your students will get over it. XDXD;;;

See, that's what I think too ... if a hotel is going to charge for access to the internet, there should be a certain level of guarantee that it will be working throughout the day. Rignt now I'm on a lunchbreak and the signal is strong and moving smoothly. The same couldn't be said for a large portion of last night.

You should just say that it's a Retro 80s Don Johnson look...the 80s are very "in" just now!

"I should have shaved in Seattle" sounds like the opening line to a novel about disaffected thirty-somethings coming to terms with the horrifyingly repetitious nature of modern life. Or something.

Dammit, now I have to write a short story with that line in it. Thanks a lot *grin*
