The Inner Workings of Evil - Top 10 Villians

Feb 23, 2015 10:00

Heylo all, it’s the 23rd again, so it’s time for another look into the evil mind that is me. 3 months to go until this blog turns 4. Wow. O.O How the heck have I managed to keep this going that long. Oh wait I know..getting through like 3 gens in 2 years. Whoops.

Anyhow, this month I’m going to be looking at the ‘best’ villians that I have written into the tales to make their lives hell. Because that’s the kind of author I am. I’ll admit some of them needed work, some of them I planned to do more with, but couldn’t for a number of reasons. All of which will be justified and ‘explained’ in this document.

So sit back and grab your pitchforks because here we go.

10. Adrian (Gen 13)

Now I know what a lot of you are thinking. Who the hell is Adrian right? Well if you think back to last generation, he is the creep who offered Opal a job collecting intel using her ‘gifts’ and reporting back to him. All in exchange for a place to live and information about her mother, who she didn’t know at the time.

So why did he make the top 10 you ask?

Well I hinted throughout her time in Bridgeport that there was more to Adrian than met the eye. He had tech no one else had access to, shady meetings with Alyssa, and not to mention what Opal learnt from other sources. There was rumours that girls had been going missing after being seen with him.

And yes this was going to go somewhere. It was actually going to go to probably the ‘darkest’ place that I have ever written. It would have been a personal challenge for me but it was something I had fully intended to do.

Sadly I couldn’t however, work was cutting to much of my simming time as it was and I figured you’d all rather have some actual plot regarding Opal and Daniel so it was scrapped.

However.

I wonder how many of you were paying close attention to Darcy’s backstory ;)

9. Safire (Generation 11)

I really wasn’t sure if I could even put Safire on the list. After all, she never appeared in the main storyline, was only mentioned as an afterthought and an explanation as to how Malik came to be.

However when I scrolled through all the possible options in my head, I realised it only made sense to do so.

Safire is a succubus. A demon that uses ‘sexual allure’ to draw her victims and often grew more powerful through it. Obviously I numbed it down a little to suit the story purposes but on the grand scheme of things that is pretty dark. They don’t age either so think of all the lives she probably ruined in her lifetime. Not to mention everything she took from Malik.

Because of her he lost his home, forced his family to banish him, and was sent to centuries of servitude in a number of time periods he didn’t understand just so she could have a weapon and slave. Which ultimately backfired when Malik turned on her and killed her.

Originally I was going to have Sydney Xander’s best friend since childhood be her in her current form (shape shifters and what have you) but decided against it last minute. Firstly because I loved Syd as a character, and secondly because Xalik grew on me a lot faster than I had intended and decided to let them be.

8. Clarissa (Generation 7)

Again, this was another one of those entries where I kind of had to sit back and think about why they deserved to be on the list, and at what place.

In the grand scheme of things, she was simply another vampire owned by the council who followed orders, so why should she be on here whereas other vampires aren’t.

Well for one thing she seduced James solely to get close to Danni and Quinn, and even went as far as to have a child with him. Which was not part of her orders, meaning she did it on her own accord just to strike another blow to the traitor Quinn and the woman he so happened to fall for.

Not to mention she also tried to kill Danni, while she was pregnant at the time. Again that was not an order. She was to turn Danni into a vampire and bring her to the Council. That was it. And she wasn’t even meant to be Turned at the time she was.

She simply acted on her own accord and tried to take things further. Ironically, Danni was still turned due to her attack but seeing as her ‘Maker’ was killed the plan was virtually useless to the Council. So all he emotional pain and heartbreak that followed was unnecessary.

All the events that took place in Rogue’s life could have been avoided if she had waited for the ‘right’ moment.

And what a horrible way of thinking that is.

7. Ash (Generation 3)

It’s so weird to include one of my heirs on this list. However I simply couldn’t leave him out. Although unwilling Ash killed a large number of people while transitioning into a vampire. And throughout the whole ordeal he started to blame his wife, who had no involvement whatsoever. (Unless you count turning him against his will, something I still don’t know why I wrote to this day)

Not only that but I think he is the only character I’ve ever written who has cheated on their partner. And although this doesn’t make him a ‘villain’ the way he dealt with the whole thing and the reasons he gave for it do strike him down as an immoral person in my opinion. Not to mention eventually killing the girl he had the affair with and blaming the entire thing on her.

Not cool.

He also killed his sister…but again, he wasn’t in his right mind when he did and was wracked with guilt after realising what he had done.

All I will say about the ‘vampire curse’ is that it’s not over. In fact Danni was overcome with it for a while after transitioning, but she had Quinn by her side to overcome it with time. Xander also showed signs of inheriting it but again Quinn was on hand to tutor the young vampire.

The moral is…is Zella had just been there for her husband maybe it could have all been avoided.

Plus, an explanation as to why the Tales have been cursed whenever one transitions into a vampire has an explanation. And will be told during the auracy.

6. Dominic (Generation 5)

Oh where do I even begin with this asshole? For those with a terrible memory when it comes to names (myself included) Dominic is the serial rapist that attacked Reagan when she was younger, and in the present storyline, did the same thing to Tate.

He’s also Jaden’s father, and the revelation of that fact nearly destroyed the family and was extremely hard for me to write. I never really gave him much dialogue or action in my story (read the Atwoods to get more on that) but we didn’t need to see it to know how much his actions were wrong. He destroyed many lives and he just didn’t seem to care about it in the slightest.

Hell, he’s even a dick to his own son. Not to mention he SHOT the only father figure that Jaden had ever known right in front of him and then demanded Jaden come with him. Why did he shoot Finn? Because he was getting close to finding him? Because Reagan was finally happy? We never did get those answers and we didn’t need them.

The others had small excuses for their crimes. They weren’t human so they thought differently.

Dominic doesn’t have that excuse.

5. Lucy (Generation 4)

At first I really didn’t know where to place Lucy. I knew she had to go on this list somewhere (After all) she did cause Sky to crash his car, force amnesia on him and make Angel’s life hell just for being Ash’s daughter and all…Oh and she killed Zero.

But regardless, I also need to point out she did this because Ash turned her and left her without offering any guidance or help. Hell, for all I know the Council turned up  and taught her everything she needed to know to be a psycho. We know they have SEVERAL of those running around.

But at the same time, her actions were still villainous, and did ruin a lot of lives in the process. Not only Sky and Angel’s but also their children's. Even worse is the fact she used her own daughter in her plans and plays with her life and feelings as if they were nothing. That’s what puts her up higher than some of the others on this list.

Lucy was never meant to have a role in anything. Ash was sent to the library one day and I thought she looked pretty…it’s sad that the leap was then made to her having this role when you think about it.

But it’s the pure joy she displayed whenever Angel showed how badly Lucy had screwed up her life that really makes her villainous in her actions.

4. Fenrir (Generation 9-10)

Man the end of generation hurt didn’t it? It was no secret by this time that I wasn’t adverse to killing off characters at the drop of the hat, but I don’t think anyone (myself included) thought I would think to kill an heir off so quickly.

Beth died at the hands of Fenrir simply because she had birthed a son with Lance. Not to mention he planned to kill that son. Who was no more than 3 at this point.

In his ‘defence’ he is a wolf and their morals and ideals are different than ours. But so what. No other wolf has been as bloodthirsty as he was. Not to mention how quickly the whole thing happened. There wasn’t really any time to prepare for it.

Plus he used his own family to hurt Hunter years down the line. He manipulated his own granddaughter in order to kill him, who wanted nothing to do with his father or the wolf within him.

It’s worth noting that Fenrir was never meant to have a large role in things. I never planned to even include Lance’s parents into the story, but he kind of just happened. I don’t know what that says about me…but whatever.

3. Melonie (Generation 7-10)

Do I even need to explain this one? To be fair, Melonie didn’t really do to much to the Tales in my story,  but if you read SOL (and if you don’t, why the hell not?) you realise that her actions affect the very dynamic of the family generations after she appears.

She’s another one of those characters, that used to be good and was corrupted, but that was due to her own emotions and thought processes, so we’ll leave that be. Put it bluntly, she has hurt everyone she loved.

Hell Jace loved her in every possible form of the emotion, as a friend, sister, even a lover later down the road, and she was the one who forced him to hunt his best friend and bring him back. Let’s not even go there with Quinn. He was turned against his will and yet still fought. She embraced the Council with open arms.

I can’t begin to list who she has hurt during both of our stories timelines, she’s tried to continuously hurt anyone that Quinn cares about out of jealously, nearly killed Rogue, tried to kidnap Hunter and Samia…and that is just my story.

She’s been responsible for so many deaths, imprisonments and she doesn’t see a single thing wrong with it. In her head everything is justified as long as it brings Quinn back to her.

Who she severely hurt. He’s moved on and is  happy and she hates him for it.

The worst thing about this in a way, is that she physically has done nothing..she’d order or coax others into doing the dirty work, and tries to keep herself as far away from it as possible.

2. ‘The Old Ones’ (Gens 12-22)

Again this was one of those where I had to sit back and think about, could I justify featuring them when so little is known about them.

In the end, I had to put the Elite on the list, although they haven’t featured much so far, they will be around for the entire time of the auracy, that’s how big they are. And from what we have seen they have shown to have no limits. They’ve kidnapped and raised people to do things against their wills for their benefit, and are not against using any means to retrieve them if they so happen to escape. They nearly wiped out the werewolf species just because they were an unknown threat! They live off using someone’s weakness to exploit them. A truly low move.

Not much is known about them yet. But from what we learned of their past, it’s clear there is no humanity left within them, and they are intent on harnessing Alyssa’s bloodline. But for what?

1. Me (Gens 1 - ALL OF THEM)

This kind of feels like a cop out!

And yet who is the one responsible for all the death, betrayal and emotion turmoil? Me.

I don’t know where it comes from either. I’m a nice person! Honest!

For some reason the whole idea of cliff-hangers and nefarious plots seems to work well in my head.

Of course…I don’t think I’ve done anything TOO evil for a while…so there is that I guess? But that can oh so easily change ;)

Sorry that this one isn’t as detailed as last, it’s a harder subject to talk about, plus I’m doing this quickly before preparing everything for the ‘move’

New desktop should be here on Saturday :)

So thank you, and see you on March 23rd ; )

Or sooner for a chapter XD
