Good luck with the new writing group. I think the thing is you need one that will stimulate you creatively. If the other one wasn't doing that then it's good that you find a new one. I hope this one will do well with you.
The one I was going to lasted about a month. I was disapointed. C'est la vie. Oh well.
And take care of that puppy! Pets are wonderful. I'm sure she's lovely and yeah, walking is good.
The "delusions of adequacy" sounds like a boss or teacher telling a character what kind of workmanship said character has.

With only you and J. even interested in it at the moment, and her schedule being tapped out (she's a spiritual leader to many groups), none of us seem to have a day we can all meet. However, if you want encouragement, I'm here for you! I think your writing style is fabulous, and anything that motivates you to continue ought to be something good in your life. :)
