Part IV
Legolas and Lorinwen saw more and more of each other. But every time he asked her she always said that she wasn’t ready. A year passed, she still wasn’t ready. One night, just after she put Lothien and Astald to bed there was a knock on the door. She went to the door. She opened it and there was a tiny little creature on the step. It had brown fur, big brown eyes, and a little nose. She picked it up and looked out the door. Legolas came walking up.
“What is it?” she asked.
“I’m not sure.” he said.
He started to walk away.
“Wait!’ she cried.
He turned back.
“I’m ready.” she said.
He smiled and walked back to her. He kissed her and Lothien came out of her room. She had another dream about her father. Legolas saw her and walked over to her and picked her up. He made her smile by saying, “I’m going to be your new dad.”
“What is it?” she asked.
“I’m not sure.” he said.
He started to walk away.
“Wait!’ she cried.
He turned back.
“I’m ready.” she said.
He smiled and walked back to her. He kissed her and Lothien came out of her room. She had another dream about her father. Legolas saw her and walked over to her and picked her up. He made her smile by saying, “I’m going to be your new dad.”
