Unexpected Day Off
I've never had an earache before; I can see why kids scream and cry when they get one.
It started out like a small ache but as the day progressed it turned into this sharp jabbing pain in my ear. Then my eye started watering. Not both eyes, just the one eye. I figured I better go to the doctor and see what was wrong.
Turns out that because my allergies are bothering me so much and the fact that I had a filling redone in a tooth is why my ear hurts. Unbelievable. Monday night I didn't get any sleep; taking Advil took some of the pain away but not all of it. So I stayed home from work yesterday. The pain was less but I was sooooo flipping tired I don't think I would have been able to function at work. I spent the day napping, taking Advil every four hours and doing odd things around the house. I slept much better last night and unfortunately I am at work today.
I won't ever think that a child is over-reacting when he/she cries when they have an earache. I thought a sinus infection hurt; boy was I wrong.
