Buying A New Car Can Be Painful
I think I may have to lock the hubby away for a while; he's driving me insane. We decided that this year we will replace the car; it's 10 years old and just turned over 150,000 miles. Our truck is older but the car is our main transportation. So on Saturday we went to the Auto Show to look at cars. We found a few that we like and are seriously considering. Now that we have narrowed it down, he is researching them like crazy; checking on line, reading brochures, and reading consumer reports. I understand the need to do this but we won't be replacing the car until September. I don't know if I can last. I totally blocked out when we bought the Beetle. OMG! We had to wait six months to get it; he had me calling them once a week for the last three months to see when the car was going to be in.
I Love my hubby dearly but when he gets obsessive about something it just drives me crazy. So guess what were doing this weekend? Test driving cars. We'll be heading out to White Bear Lake to hit all the dealers on the Highway 61 strip.
Out of all the cars we looked at we have narrowed it down to the following (in order of preference):
Mazda 3 - five door
Scion XB
Honda Fit
Ford Fusion
Mini Clubman
Honda Element
Mitsubishi Outlander
Mitsubishi Lancer
One vehicle we are considering is the Mini Clubman. It is soooooo coooool. That one we really have to think about. There is only one place in the State of Minnesota to get it repaired. The thing is cool in design, there is a lot of room and it gets the best gas mileage.
I think when it's time to replace the truck we will probably go with the Honda Ridgeline. I just love that truck.
