Previous Weeks
I've been really busy lately. Between going to the gym two nights a week, work being busy, and going hunting the last two weekends, I'm pretty worn out. I was successful for the deer hunt. I won't bore you with the details.
I love being out doors. I wish I would have taken my camera with me into my tree stand; I would have gotten some great pictures. I was surrounded by birds (one landed on my head), squirrels (one got brave and actually touched the sleeve on my coat), and turkeys (they are kinda creepy looking when they go through the woods). I also saw an opposum rummaging through the leaves looking for something to eat. I saw two things that made me laugh out loud. First, a squirrel actually fell out of a tree; landed on the ground and bounced a few times, then went on his merry way looking for acorns. Second, I saw a turkey fall out of a tree. They roost in the tree tops during the night; he was flying up and landed on a branch that broke and he fell to the ground. I just thought it was kinda funny.
The hubby got his tattoo finished and I acquired two more. Those things are addicting and the guys down at the Aloha Monkey are great.
We're hoping for some quiet time but I don't think that will be possible; Thanksgiving is next week and then Christmas is four weeks after that. I'll be glad when the first of the year comes and things quiet down. I'm in need of a really long vacation away from family and friends. Our next time away is not until February. We will be going back to Ely; hopefully this year it won't be 35 below zero.
