Some Ramblings
Still having problems with my sinus; we are now trying a new approach; nasal spray and ointment. The nasal spray had to come from a company in Florida. It is not available to drug stores; only through the company in Florida. These two things are supposed to help get rid of the mold that has taken up residence in my sinus. I just finished four weeks of antibiotics and am hoping this will work.
We are finally getting our finances in order. We learned a hard lesson that will not be repeated. DO NOT LEND MONEY TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS (especially family). Between my family and the hubby's family we found ourselves in a bad place. We are on the road to resolving the problem; we had to cash out two retirement funds to accomplish this but in the end it will be for the best. The retirement funds were not making much money. We have been putting money into them since we were 20 and between the two of us we are getting only $16,000. Not much of a return. We hope that by this time next year we will be completely debt free (except for the mortgage) and can begin investing money into retirement accounts that will have a better return. We are doing pretty good right now; I have profit sharing at work and the hubby has a 401-K plan. We want to try some other investments to get us ready for retirement. We have about 20 years to go; so we need to get going and get things in order.
Tomorrow is a road trip to Ely. We are going for the day. I know that sounds stupid; but hey, someone else is doing the driving and its their gas. I'm just along for the ride. I'm hoping we can spend an hour at the Wolf Center. I just love those wolves; plus I can do some shopping at the Wolf Center. I'm also hoping to get some Christmas shopping done while we are there. That's why we are going; Markie wants to finish his Christmas shopping in Ely and I'm going to start mine in Ely. I'll bring a book to read and my DVD player with a few movies for entertainment. Or maybe I'll just sleep most of the way there. Who knows.
Well that is enough rambling for the time being; I need to get to work and get some things accomplished before the Boys get here.
