Good lords... what a week/month/year it's been.
I suppose I should start by apologizing for not updating this. I've been rather busy with RL and work and other things, and finally got around to viewing this and deciding to post once more.
Work, well, that's a non-starter. I was laid off from my job a month ago, given a lump-sum payment, and told to enjoy myself. *snerk* As if job hunting at 57 years of age is going to be easy. If I was half that age, I might be able to land a job easily enough, but not my current age. But that's ok, I've got the lump-sum payment that'll last me a few years.
Of course, the moment I lose my job I end up going into the hospital with an enlarged scrotum (softball-sized!) and edema. I spent a week under hospital care, then was discharged. I'm much better now, and the doctors appear to be much happier with the results. Now, with the continued care I'm receiving under COBRA, I'll be able to get back to full (*snort*) health within the next few weeks.
So that is what's happened to me... whee!
