Ice, Ice, Baby!
So here it is, 8:30am in the morning. Houston has been thoroughly glazed by Mother Nature, a nice thin sheet of ice coating everything. And what does the workplace bosses say? Show up for work, what else? Not that anyone CAN show up, most of the freeways are closed and anything else that has overpasses or bridges are glazed up as well. Including the steps and porch to my apartment. Guess where I'm staying, boys and girls??
Meanwhile, yesterday on the way in to work I saw some motion near the bayou I cross every morning... and three white-tails were visible. Yes, there ARE deer close by, living in the nature preserve nearby and wandering in to the less civilized areas. *chuckle*
At least I have my work computer next to me and the Blackberry, if someone has to get ahold of me here.
Bleah... ice. Wish it had been snow instead.
