Earthquake in Japan

Mar 11, 2011 18:49

As some of us may be aware, an earthquake hit Japan today, somewhere in Miyagi Prefecture, which appears to be on the eastern coast of Japan. I read varying reports, some stating that the earthquake measured 7.9 on the Richter scale, others saying that it measured 8.4 or 8.9 on the Richter scale. The earthquake tremors shook other parts of Japan, such as Tokyo, very badly, and even caused a building in Odaiba, Tokyo to be set on fire.

I went by Saitoh Takumi-san's blog and saw an entry for today. He says he is safe and hopes, too, that all are safe.
