First things first: Used CelingTaffi's rum peach compote yesterday with pork and it was fantabulous.
Second: I have acquired the honor of making a wedding cake in March. The bride wants a white cake with cream cheese frosting... decorated with black vines and red roses (real flowers). My plan is to make the same frosting that I did for a cake last June and Mrs. Piglet and crew used later in the summer. Now to find a good white cake recipe.... hmmm I should ask her about filling. Two other couples at church got engaged in the last week. I don't really know one of the couples, but one is in our home group... so I'll probably offer to make their cake... but their wedding isn't until fall sometime.
