Restless Reaction
The statues are cracked
not so perfect as it seems
others view only a glimpse
and see perfection
I view an eternity
and see the debris
All is not well
a face or two to keep it together
even still I can tell
your hopes are as bad as the weather
washed down and frozen
they heat up last minute only to be drowned
your hope is stretched so thin
you live with this constant disappointment
and you keep it held up tight within
felt a fall of regret
hold on now
the list goes on more, yet
Your heart was torn from the tumble
your hope for something better...
beat from you by cliffs and boulders
the world disagrees with you all together
and I can see your confidence left
all that lies dead now in a heap
your hope is scattered now
but has been received
recipients thank you
but your deaf to this all
your charge is broken
I fear you will never light a dim lit room ever again
but at least your hope was received
your kindness was taken
and your love was stolen
all may seem so empty and sad
but those who have your cell..
now can light up even the darkest of dreams

your trip was far
