Grabbed this from
speccygeekgrrl, although I think I'm less prolific at shipping so not all of these are pairings I've shipped especially hard. For your convenience, I've marked each in terms of fanfiction with the following:
*: I've read fanfiction
`: I've sought out fanfic but there wasn't any
**: I've written it
†: fandoms I can point to as proof of "I have read fanfiction written better than Twilight"
1. Osmosis Jones: Thrax/Osmosis *
This was my first OTP ever. It was also my introduction to slash (and dubcon), although I'm pretty sure it had already occurred to me that they would be hot together. There were about 40 fics total in the OJ category at the time and almost all of them were crap.
2. the Matrix: Neo/Agent Smith **
Sadly very hard to do well and those who manage to get around the unfeasibility still don't write the kind of slash I like.
3. Trigun: Vash/Meryl *
Couldn't find a good picture, but this series was just hard to slash and they were pretty cute together. I am not, however, averse to Vash/Wolfwood or Meryl/Knives.
4. Blade Runner: Deckard/Roy Batty `
I have no shame. Also, this is the movie where Rutger Hauer kissed a guy. And then drove his thumbs into that guy's eyes and crushed his skull. Weirdly, there's not really any fanfiction.
5. Pirates of the Carribean: Norrington/Jack Sparrow/Will **†
These three or a pairing. I still venture back in there every once and a while. Oh, and definitely DMC-Norrington, because he's cute when he's scruffy and pathetic.
6. Harry Potter: Harry/Snape *
I know this is like, anathema, but I swear I only read it when Harry was older or there was extensive explaining about how wizards live for a really long time so that Snape's not really all that old or something. My ass thus covered, I must say I read so much HP fanfic back when the books were coming out that I still confuse things that happened in the last book for things that happened in fanfic.
7. Heroes: Sylar/Mohinder **†
Aside from Thrax/OJ, this was my first ideal pairing in terms of what I wanted from the dynamic and how often that was presented by the fanfic, except that it had the advantage of actually being really common and often extremely well-written. I wrote a few tidbits but always stopped before I got too far, since I was sort of getting out of writing fanfic by then.
8. Avatar: Zuko/Katara *†
I didn't read it much because I'm not too into romance when it's cute, but there were some awesome ones that I read and probably many more that I didn't. Katara/Aang creeps me out.
9. House, MD: House/Wilson *†
Hard to write because it's House, but when done well I will draw hearts around it and I love every time it's suggested in the show.
10. GI Joe movie: Whatsisface/McCullen `**
I will slash Christopher Ecclestone with anyone. I pretty much spend every movie I watch with him in it waiting for him to kiss some dude. There is no fanfiction for this as far as I know.
11. 28 Days Later: Jim/Major West *
See above, only I guess the homoeroticism was intentional in 28 Days Later, so I'm justified. There is a single good fanfiction that was everything I wanted from the pairing, and then I found another one later that was just bad so I'll pretend that there was only the single, perfect story. Which also happened to be a better ending than the real one, since I just don't think Jim can do Roy Batty as well as Roy Batty can.
12. Doctor Who: Donna/Ten **†
I really tend to go for the platonic, funny version of this pairing, but I love the romantic pairing when it's built up to over a long time. I prefer Donna to the previous companions because she isn't enamored with the Doctor, and to my mind Amy Pond is basically, like, mini-Donna.
13. Supernatural: Dean/Castiel *†
Saved me from the pit of Wincest. 'Nough said.
14. Farscape: Crichton/Scorpius **†
Sadly overlooked, but the only way their on-screen interactions would be slashier is if they actually had sex. I think it's mostly because it's dastardly difficult to get the two of them in bed together, despite the sexual tension.
15. Battlestar Galactica: Admiral Adama/President Roslin
Just sweet. I've never looked up fanfiction for them because their on-screen relationship was already everything I wanted, except for the "live-happily-ever-after" part.
16. Last Exile: Delphine/Alex **
(Couldn't actually find any good pictures!)
Unless something's changed, I wrote all of the semi-decent, IC Delphine/Alex fanfic, mostly because I was sick of another fanfiction writer who wrote like fifty terrible Last Exile fanfictions where Delphine was not a complete and utter bastard.
17. Wolf's Rain: Lord Darcia/Kiba `
No good reason really, just thought that Darcia was hot at the time. Now I can't really tell what the fuck Wolf's Rain is about, so I have to conclude I must have been insane. Yes, even more insane than Harry/Snape, although there are apparently no other Darcia/Kiba shippers.
18. Gargoyles: Goliath/Elisa *
Have occasionally read, but I don't really seek out romance. Like Adama/Roslin, they're just very sweet together, and they kick ass.
19. His Dark Materials: Lyra/Will
I think I might have cried at the end of the Amber Spyglass. I'm not normally into book romances, but then HDM got to me more than most books.
20. Dreamcatcher: the entire foursome *
(Book version, of course.) Well, I haven't in the strictest sense read all of them together at once, but I swear than Stephen King is secretly a slash fan because every single one of his books is slashy in some way or another.
