oh god title how did this get here
Mm. Amazing how the last thing I order, from farthest away, is the first thing to show up, while the thing I ordered a few days before that from an adjacent state still isn't here, nor is my pack of cards. I mean, I'm glad to finally have it here and be able to look at it and see that it's in good shape, but I would really have preferred to get the first of Adric's birthday presents here since I was sort of planning to give that one to him, y'know, first.
Shopping trip was, I think, very successful, and to top it off my mom interfered and got my books for me! Of course I still have zillions of books to read and now I have six more but oh well.
Also, I don't think I can make it through Wizard's First Rule. I'm only two chapters in and it's not exactly that I don't identify with the characters, it's more that I actively hate them. They're acting in ways no logical person would act, and while I have said in the past that I will read stories with an interesting setting almost to the point of ignoring bad writing, I just can't do it. I've even gone onto Amazon to read reviews to see if any of them say that it starts slow or anything, but they don't. So, I think I will have to rid myself of it.
By the way, is anyone else having trouble with LJ? When I go onto my page or sometimes even my friend's page, the layout doesn't load and everything just sort of sits on a white background with no formatting. It's really annoying.
ETA: Okay, I changed my theme and it seems to work now.
