I went to bed last night at eight thirty. Eight thirty! Madness. But I had a headache, and once I laid down for that I realized I was sleepy, so one thing led to another...
I had been playing Fallout 3 last night, but got pretty burnt out when I ended up spending everything on a single quest last night--literally. I cleaned out the raiders from Springvale elementary school, and got some ammo from that, but then after looking around futilely for Lucy West (who gives you a quest, but she's never home) I went wandering around looking for a fight and trying to discover places like I do in Oblivion. Well, I ran across a single bloatfly, but that was it, until a kid ran up to me and told me about how his town was overrun by what his dad called "fire ants" and could I please help them, since I was obviously such a badass. Being a badass, I said "sure" and headed off to Greyditch or whatever, wondering why they were called fire ants.
Well, as it turns out they are called fire ants because they breath fire at you. Tough buggers, too; I had more than a hundred bullets for my assault rifles (a Chinese one and a regular, since they were both in bad shape), about fifty for my hunting rifle (which is somewhat more economical since it only uses one bullet in VATS, while the assault rifles use three), and more than two hundred for my 10 mm pistol. By the end of this all I had left were eighty bullets for the pistol (which does barely any damage), no stim packs, and I had to start eating stuff to heal. The only thing I got out of the quest (which still technically isn't finished yet) was another Chinese assault rifle to fix my old one with, so now I'm sitting around Megaton waiting for the stores to open in order to use what meager funds I have in order to buy what meager supplies are available.
Went to the Waldman family reunion this weekend with Adric! Was lots of fun, played frisbee and badminton, now my arm hurts. Ate a bunch of smores and sweet things even though I have a cankersore. Saw a weird snake I haven't gotten around to identifying yet.
