It's been one week since I started to take the Ketoconazole. He started me on a low dose, and I'm supposed to take double that for the next week.
I'm not sure, but I seem to have a little more strength than before, though not a whole lot. I say I'm not sure because the placebo effect is a definite possibility. It's also possible that I will feel better only for a little while, before the meds lose their effect. Or worse, my liver could begin to complain and I have to stop taking it.
I still have a hard time with heat tolerance. Today, I went out to do some errands wearing sweat pants and a tee shirt. It's cool and rainy today, and when I went into the library, I thought I was gonna faint. Some of that is the contrast between cool and the overheating in the library, but not all.
Yesterday, my mom came up to help me, and we set up my Christmas hammock. Then it promptly rained, so I can't enjoy it until it dries out, which won't be until sometime next week.
She says that my grandma is recovering very slowly, and that she's saying and doing goofy things, like getting up in the middle of the night and putting her hearing aid in, in case someone says something she wants to hear. She's got one of her four kids with her day and night; they put a wind chime on her walker so that they'll know when she wakes up in the night to go to the bathroom. She really doesn't want to stay alive much longer, if she can help it. She's been without grandpa for 5 years, and they were really close.
