Finally saw it this afternoon. I went alone, wearing a Gryffindor scarf but no robes. TOO hot, even though I only had to endure the walk across the parking lot. But also I didn't have the heart for it. It's useless to dress up unless you can embarrass the people who are with you.

I haven't been on LJ for eons and ages, and this is one of the first posts I've read since I came back.
Just wanted to say that I hope all's well with you (I haven't read any of your other posts yet, and I'm leaving town first thing tomorrow morning, but I hope to catch up some before then), and also that I agree with you very much about the movie. Condensing OoP down made it better, in my opinion, whereas with GoF and PoA, I felt important things had been left out. There were some objects that were left out of the OOp movie that I think will be important in Book 7 (locket, mirror) but you can't really expect moviegoers to remember this stuff two or three years from now, so leaving them out was understandable.
OK, now awaiting Book 7 with breathless anticipation!
