You. Are. Awesome.
This was so perfectly perfect and just a wonderful fill of my (somewhat crazy) prompts, and I love some of the little subtle hints at reflections you used!
First. You had awkward, pining Neville. Even better, you had an awkward, pining Neville who's such good friends with Harry that he's picked up some of his habits! I love him, did you know? :P I really, really love this version of him, though. I love that Harry brought the mystery plant to Neville for identification and that Neville's still a plant geek even though he's thoroughly distracted by Hannah and I love that Neville keeps just hanging around so he can be near to Hannah. His awkward denials just turned me into goo.
And Harry. *squishes him* I really liked how Harry's awkward denials were so similar to Neville's, by the way. They both got tongue-tied around their girls. Hee!
And the kiss!
Also...
“No, it was just stalk-y-vine-things like that and some leaves.” and “I don’t know, they looked like leaves,“ LOLOLOL. That's TOTALLY what non-plant people tell me--about as unhelpful as you can get for identification.
Ooooh! And Harry had a red compact and Ginny had a green one!
Ron drinking after learning that Harry fancied Ginny? Hahahahahahahahaha. I can just picture it.
And the sibling banter! And the Harry/Ron/George banter, which might as well be sibling banter! And Ginny sucking on her bitten finger (for some reason, that detail stuck with me the whole time I was reading this).
Hee! I better stop, or I'll be quoting this back at you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

I am really, really, really so glad that you liked it! You gave me such a wonderful gift in a past fest and you've been helping out with this fest even though you never got your gift, and I just really hoped that you'd like it.
I am somewhat close to being that person with the plants. Having an arts background and now doing culinary maybe puts me slightly ahead in the noticing differences in leaves thing, possibly, but I still cannot really tell the difference between maple saplings and poison ivy so, what does that tell you? (I write as I glance across the room at my only - and long dead- plant. It's not entirely my fault, the thing had gone through two major moves in a matter of months, two weeks with no one to water it, and a hurricane-- so it really didn't have much of a shot.)
I'm glad you like the banter and really glad you like my Neville! Neville is just the best, isn't he?
Basically: YAY! Thank you so much! I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I had a lot of fun writing it.
