I lovelovelove the idea of Harry shutting down his emotions after the war, feeling like he has to be some kind of model citizen to the rest of the Wizarding World. The way he has so much difficulty in expressing his feelings is very natural to Harry and the life he's been forced to lead, I think. Very nice job!

This was great! This is exactly the kind of fic that I love--all the plot and character analysis. Your descriptions of Harry seemed so believable and I liked the conflict you created between Harry and Gwenog. And your writing style was so perfect for this type of story. Excellent job. I really enjoyed reading this.

Poor Harry! But lucky us, for getting to read about his struggles. Thank you for sharing.

I really liked this! The idea that Harry shuts down his emotions, almost can't access them, is very plausible to me - especially because the change seems almost innocuous at first. I mean, lots of people use actions rather than words to express their emotions, right? I thought the end of that section, with him silently undressing Ginny and the other things he does, was especially strong.

The ending is very tough, but I like the way you don't flinch from what Harry has been driven (has driven himself?) to do. The hints at Howard's characterisation, at the fact that "he hadn't been able to get the right words at" because Harry hadn't given him a chance, are very powerful.

Ooh, this is very good. I can imagine very well that Harry would hold up the front of being strong after the War, with his proneness to outside pressures and his leadership talent. You really show the difficulty he has with letting go, and then the whole explosive scene where he beats Howard literally to death... I shivered. Ginny's response is nigh on perfect, as well, you have her voice down very well.

Love it.
