(no subject)
sooo... ever get down on yourself for those little quirks you may have that just seem to scare people away, put you in awkward positions, or just make you get mad at yourself...
yeah, so i've been dwelling on some of those lately along with other stuff, of course...
but after watching me some "singin' in the rain" and eating a bag of chocolate chip cookies, i've come to take on a different attitude.... instead of dwelling on things i cannot change and/or becoming frustrated by them, i've come to appreciate my uniqueness..
in fact, one of the spelling words was "unique" and students are assigned to write a sentence with each word, hand them into me, and i check them.... well, one of the kids who i just love wrote something that just got me to thinking
ahem... and i quote...
"Miss Zammit is unique in her own way"
i must say i laughed...
but then it got me to listing off those things that make me me, ya know....
and sure, maybe some of you can relate to some of the things, but you're not exactly like me, right? just kind of cool to think about... i mean, honestly, there are millions upon millions of people in the world and yet we all have our own talents, gifts, and, yes, even quirks.... but gotta love them... (it's the getting other people to like them as well that is often the tricky part)

...i'm pretty quiet when you first meet me, but my friends will tell you i'm pretty crazy once you get to know me... i do believe the term is "weird," as my sister says"
...i have a weakness for cookies
...i'm a leader, but i hate initiating relationships
...i'm a hopeless romantic, but get scared and find some excuse it won't work when presented with a perfectly good/potential relationship
...i can recite lines from any disney movie like it's my job
...i can't sing, but i love to blast the radio (and my voice) when given the chance
...when i smile, my one eye closes more than the other ;0)
...i'm in no way perfect, but pleasing, serving, and loving up on God is something i'm working for to be a top priority in my life
...i love any rock, country, classical, rap, etc. song with a violin in it
...i love to talk, but i hate talking on phones
...i have a crooked pinkie from getting it jammed so many times in basketball
...chocolate, music, baking, and kids are my passions
...i despise the winter weather but could never live anywhere without four seasons (Fall being my absolute favorite)
...my dream one day is to be IN a musical
...i love to be crazy, but i'm not into the whole drinking/partying scene; i prefer lounging and having good conversation
