Lasting Effects

I know all too well the lasting effects of a death of someone close to you. You don't have to be a part of the family to be hit hard by something like this. especially when it was as unexpected as it was for you. In fact i believe that it is probably a little easier for the family than for you because they got to come to terms with the illness and death through out a longer period of time. It is never easy to be blind sided by a tragedy. Just know Emily that you have friends who are here for you as well. I have to say that i was saddened to hear that you were the one like me at the funeral not allowing yourself to cry. My advise to you is to let go, cry, grieve even if you feel it to be selfish. It isn't, it is human nature. We can't internalize it, I have tried, and let me tell you it doesn't work. In fact that internalization that I taught myself to do tore me apart and was one of the leading causes of all the bad habits in my life. So my ending advise to you is to cry and grieve and call on me if you ever need to talk about anything whether it be death, or the nature of existence, it doesn't matter. I am just a phone call away. ~Joel
