A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Christmas...
A day when all the world
rejoices...

Yet winter keeps his hold
upon my heart.

Beleaguered, as I am,
by ghosts of Christmas passed,
and knowing not the face of
Christmas yet to be...

I find no cause for joy
in Christmas present.
