[It's video, but not aimed at himself. He's sitting somewhere near the edge of a busy thoroughfare and filming passers-by: humans, almost-humans, aliens. A little kid waves at him and his fingers enter the frame briefly as he waves back. His voice is heard over the background noise; he sounds starstruck, almost exhilarated.]

I kind of thought New York would look like this. With less space and aliens, anyway.

Oh! I've been to New York. It doesn't look a lot like this. It's still very impressive, though.

Really? There go all my hopes and dreams about New York, I guess. Did that little kid just wave because you were filming?

I smiled? But it might have been the filming. I couldn't tell you why he waved, really.

Well it was adorable. Was he - do you think he was human?

I can still see him. He's stopped outside a shop with his mum. Hang on.

[Pause pause pause. Leeaning out of shot to see better.]

He has a tail. [Another pause, because - he's hanging out somewhere where people have tails and this is just 100% normal.] So, probably not then. Or maybe humans have changed quite a bit.

[...She is pausing too. This is kind of awesome. And weird.] Is it, like, prehensile?
