this weekend = o u t o f c o n t r o l and effing
random at the same exact time.
friday
+ shaun and i tripped down to tech in exactly 2 hours
+ met up with beanie, rach, inga, tim, lee, brett, jeff, etc.
+ drama show was amazing. im so envious of all those doods
especially my brother. and lee. so original and creative.
+ lauren west's apartment. holy crap it rules.
+ spent the night at bretts and talked til 3. we also raped
his cd collection. i heart being a freakin pirate.
saturday
- up at 830 to shower and get on the road to charlottesville.
+ fest full of rock from 1230pm - 10pm. the out circuit, el
guapo, engine down, broken spindles, THE UNICORNS!!!, hopesfall,
pretty girls make graves. (i want the unicorns to play my
birthday party this summer)
- i left before rjd2 which i heard was one big dance party w/
4 turntables. shaun stayed with josh, kyler and lauren.
+ instead i proceeded with mark (drummer of preston, tom's band)
and tom's friend erin to the tokyo rose to see hobbes (who
changed their lineup and their name but are still amazing),
prom queen, skyline awake, and ted stryker's drinking problem's
very last show as their guitarist is moving to hollywood and their
keytar player/singer is moving to philly. it went til 230am.
- i probably would have enjoyed it more if i hadn't have been
standing since 12 earlier that day and the club wasn't the prime
producer of emphysema for the city of charlottesville.
+ still it was rad all the same.
+ from there i stumbled back to bart and tom's apt. where i found
tom drunk and depressed and bart and jerasa making fun of him
for it as usual. good times.
+ we sent tom to bed and bart and i stayed up and had a swell
conversation til 430 am.
sunday
- woke up at 10 on sunday only to crawl back in my car, pick up
shaun, and zip back to jmu on less than a half a tank of gas.
+ no worries, we made it, just barely.
+ we met up at ihop with the workshop staff reunion party (trina,
meaghan who made a guest appearance from william and mary, jake,
carole, and kevin, and meaghan's 2 friends.)
+ home to bathe. clean. do laundry.
+ the superbowl with lots of friends.
final statement on the weekend = amazing.
now it's snowing and i got up for class without knowing.
just when i thought we were in the clear, the white appears again.
i don't know how i feel about all this time off from school.
madison project is supposed to sing tonight. i hope that's still
the case because im ready to perform. we're competing at thomas
jefferson high school in nova on friday. keith's going away party
friday. sirens/dragonsaur/blatmosphere on fri and saturday. another
rad weekend is on its way. over and out.
