They have never slept together at night. For it is at night that she is within the embrace of her husband and his friend. She is under him writhing beginning to reach the brink for a second time. Her lips pulled tight against her lips as sighs and groans escape. The sun filtering in through the curtains in his chambers makes her skin shine golden. He presses his fingers deeper into her skin, some part of him wishing to mark her. But she twists away, wether it is some bucking of desire or evading his grasp he doesn't know, the skin that he was trying desperately to darken reaches the sunlight and shines golden and free, and it is that sight that has his hips moving faster and his cock throbbing as he finally comes.

He looks up from where he has landed, his chin resting on her breast bone. He sees her then as she was all those years ago when she was merely a maid and he an impostor. Her loose hair catches and filters the sun making the dark, tightly curled locks shine. She looks down at him staring at her. She smiles kindly, not a mean bone in her body and yet she would transgress with him. He pulls out of her and sits at the edge of the bed reaching for his shirt.

"Lancelot?"

He turns and looks at her. She has raised herself onto her elbows to ask after him, and she looks like she was just thoroughly shagged, and the sun hits every proof of their sin. He tries to look away, he tries to promise they will never do this again, but as the sun hides behind a cloud all he can see is her, and he faces the truth that she is his sun. And he, like any animal, could not live without it. He smiles, and her face relaxes as she too rises to begin to go back to her king.

akjs;f this was gorgeous. I love the imagery here, and the sadness. They are so doomed, but gloriously so. Beautiful, thank you so much! :)
