So, I am planning on taking both French and German next year (I already have two years of German behind me), and I want to watch some movies from those countries. Does anyone want to give me some recs?

Ooo, I have no recs but yay for you. I want to know a foreign language. D: My mother actually speaks German but she was too lazy to teach me growing up so I don't know it. lol

I really love taking German. It's actually really similar to English because English itself is a Germanic language. idk, learning languages is just something really fascinating to me because it shows you how similar all the languages are. LMAO, sorry, the nerd in me is coming out. XD

haha Yeah, no. My mom tells me random words sometimes and yeah it's very similar to English.

Some great French films from off the top of my head: Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain, The Valet, Hors de Pris, City of Lost Children, and L'Appartement. I'm afraid I don't know many German films, but I have quite a few Swedish and Norwegian favorites if you're interested.
