1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
survived solely on my madd graphic design skillz for paychecks. of course, i still live at home so i'm not sure how much that counts.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
you know, i don't think i ever made one. i haven't this year, yet, either. any ideas?
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
a cousin of randy's did. but when i met the baby, it was also the first time i met his cousin, so i wouldn't call us "close."
4. Did anyone close to you die?
randy's grandfather died. it was very stressful.
5. What countries did you visit?
i stayed in america all year. but i visited disneyworld, and that FELT like a different country... a creepy one.
6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
less stress. maybe the lack of classes will help in that area, although the internship could be even worse.. who knows?
7. What day from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
i went to a wedding with randy in december. let's just say it was memorable.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
this job, which was my first full time job before school started. also there was winning interactive media student/ninja of the year, though that seems like ages ago!
9. What was your biggest failure?
just freaking out a little too much. unfortunately randy got the side effects of that sometimes, though he had his share of comparable freak-outs.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
no, i don't think so...
11. What was the best thing you bought?
i really like shopping for christmas presents this year. not the last minute run-to-the-mall stuff, but the well thought out, online handmade and unique gifts. i love being able to give things that no one has seen before.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
my older sister has been very brave... i wish we were closer.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
my brother-in-law.
14. Where did most of your money go?
my car, christmas gifts. went out to eat a lot. the usual stuff, i guess!
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
my new job. visiting the risd museum, all by myself. it was only a couple hours away, but i felt like i was in some other world where everyone lives and breathes art. i can't wait to go again!

probably happier.
haha, a little fatter i think.
technically richer, but if you count my debt, i'm poorer.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
i'd like to read more. i'd like to spend more time alone, but i'm not sure where to do it.

arguing.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
i spent it with my parents, and randy, and his parents. christmas eve with my grandparents. i'll be seeing my dad and my other grandparents in a couple days.
21. Did you fall in love in 2006?
with people? i already had.
22. How many one-night stands?
none.
23. What was your favourite TV program?
i've become a big fan of scrubs. and i fell for home movies all over again. oh, and lost... i avoided that show for awhile, but when i gave in, i loved it!
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
hah, no one new.
25. What was the best book you read?
i didn't get to read very often. randy bought me a bunch of nick hornby books though, and i enjoyed those.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
i really like corinne bailey rae.
27. What did you want and get?
i wanted to design things. and i did!
28. What did you want and not get?
i wanted to take a screenprinting course at school. but there was a huge waiting list and i never made it.
29. What was your favourite film of this year?
i must have seen a million, so i'm not even sure which ones were in this year. i finally saw 'the graduate', though, and was surprised at how much i liked it.
30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
randy took me out for dinner and i had some really awful sushi, haha. i turned 22.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
just.. more time, i guess, though it's impossible. i would have liked to read, or draw, or something. but i was still very lucky doing what i liked to do.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
i purposely bought things different from the clothes i usually wear. now my wardrobe is pretty versatile. :P
33. What kept you sane?
randy is often the source of both my sanity and my insanity. but work always has a way of screwing my head back on.
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
zach braff just never gets old.
36. Who did you miss?
i didn't see my friends as much as i would have liked to. i missed my aunt julie but got to see her for christmas!
37. Who was the best new person you met?
cheri, my hilarious co-worker and friend.

it's always great to be a good listener, but that doesn't mean you don't have to hold up your end of a conversation.
