+ My roommate has Wii Fit, and so I've been trying to actually exercise now and then. We named our trainer Ned. I enjoy him because he has pretty Peter hair--except sometimes he puts it in a tiny, ugly ponytail and then I hate him for a while. Anyway, Ned likes to say a lot of weirdly inappropriate things, such as today, when he mentioned nonchalantly, "Man, I had a long night last night," or something to that effect. After that he lectured me on the importance of sleep for the body blah blah blah, but clearly I interpret his words solely as sexual innuendo (he talks about strengthening my pelvis a lot, teehee).
+ Whitehouse.gov, if you have not checked it out since Obama moved in, is surprisingly cool for a government site. There's a
blog and an accompanying
RSS feed, a page that will soon feature
weekly videos from the President, and the opportunity to sign up for email alerts in case anything special happens. The website sounds like it's aiming to be as interactive with citizens as possible, judging by the
first blog post:
One significant addition to WhiteHouse.gov reflects a campaign promise from the President: we will publish all non-emergency legislation to the website for five days, and allow the public to review and comment before the President signs it.
Cool stuff, right?
+ There are some nice Heroes one-sentence ficlets over
here. I've been posting a few
here and
there, and I might do more later. Eventually I'll post them all in my journal as well, since I like everything in one place. :)
