Supernatural

Watched my first episode of Supernatural today, just for kicks.

Never seen Supernatural before, but it always seemed like one of those shows I would like, and given that my Thursday night shows are in reruns, I decided to watch. My thoughts, in no particular order:

(1) Mmm, wow, violence! I've heard that it's gory, but OMG LEAVE SAM'S FINGERNAIL ALONE WTFFFFF. My hands are having sympathy pains. D: And stabbing people with Christmas tree branches is always fun, haha. :P
(2) LOL Mrs. Pagan God is the mom from Everwood. That's awesome.
(3) This show is a lot funnier than I had expected. I enjoy. While Dean's tooth is about to be pulled, and the doorbell rings: "You going to get that? You should probably get that..." Teeheehee.
(4) Dean is way different than I expected him to be -- granted, I know little about this show, but after seeing a lot of pictures of Jensen Ackles online, I didn't expect his voice to be so deep. A little distracting at this point, but that'll go away, I'm sure. Sam is great. He reminds me a lot of Peter, except sort of manlier. The brother dynamic is so sweet, Sam tearing up at the end.... *wibbles*. I already want his babies. Doesn't he have powers or something? I seem to remember reading that somewhere. What can he do?
(5) I was really impressed with the tiny!Wincesters. The kid actors were good, and the scenes were sweet. So are these two kids living by themselves while their dad is hopping around killing monsters? That's ... sad. And illegal, I think. In Sims2, children cannot live alone! :P But that's cool.
(6) That scene where Dean says he wants Christmas because he's going to die in a year, and Sam doesn't want to do Christmas because he can't pretend to be happy? So heartbreaking, particularly seeing Sam tear up later. Dean gave up his soul to save Sam's life, yes? Wow, I seem to know more about this show than I thought, haha.
(7) One more time: SAM'S FINGERNAIL OMG AAAHHHHHH

Overall, thumbs up from me. I don't know if I'll watch more episodes, solely because I don't have time to get hooked to another TV show. :( Supernatural lives in the same boat as Bones, Bionic Woman, Chuck (well, Chuck I watch on occasion before Heroes), Battlestar Galactica, and Lost -- shows I want to watch but don't have time for. Damn you, real life!

ETA: Add Friday Night Lights and Doctor Who to that list of shows I want to watch but that just don't fit into my TV schedule. Sigh. So much television, SO LITTLE TIME.
