Alyce ch.1

I spot the swings as I approach the entrance of the park, and I run to them. I fucking love swinging. It makes me forget everything and just… enjoy it. Waiting, I pump my legs, trying to touch the top of the bar, touch the sky,

Then I see him. It’s been two years sense our parents stopped talking. We have been talking even more sense. I really missed him!, I hadn’t realized how much I missed him, until now. Oh, god. I’m blushing. I didn’t know how cute he is now. I wonder if he is thinking the same thing? Fuck, shut up, he’s like your brother! I tell myself. When he walks up he smiles. I missed his smile…  Oh, god. I am not a loud to think of him like that. At all.

“Hey,” He says.

“I can’t believe you actually came…” I can’t help smiling. I missed him so much.

“I wouldn’t have missed my little sister. How have you been? Anything new? Boyfriends? Crushes?” He asks a lot of questions… I can’t believe I forgot about that.

“I’ve been good, not really, everything you know from texting each other. No boyfriend, a few crushes but not many… How about you? Well, girlfriends not boyfriends. Haha,” I say kind of awkwardly, why the hell does this seem so hard, we’ve known each other years, this should be easy.

“Yeah, I actually, um, I’m dating Jamie now…”

“Oh,” I say.

“Alyce…” He sits next to me on the swing, kicking his shoes off and digging his toes in the sand beneath our feet. “I’m sorry. I know what happened, but that was three years ago. She’s forgotten, you should too. It’s just…”

“Fang…”
He laughs, shaking his head. “I can’t believe you still call me that.”
“You hated that your name is Ryan… I’ve always called you that… Ever since I was four. You were so silly when you were six…” I say with a giggle.
