The last time, I swear. Ch. 4
I stop immediately. "Follow me. and grab my phone. Now," I whisper to Zak as I pick up Melly and run up stairs. I put Melly on my bed next to Milo and close the door "Stay here, I'll be right back." i whisper to Zak. He strains to hear over the gun shots but does as told. I go to all the doors and lock them every which way knowing my parents won't be home for hours. Then I run around and make sure everything else is locked up tight. Just in case. When I see that it is I close all the doors and run upstairs and go through the same routine.
I motion for Zak to come into my room and get down. I lock my door tight and then ask for my phone. I send a quick text to everyone that might come over not to because of the shooting deal. I get my animals on the floor by me and Zak and turn down the music.
"Not your first time?" Zack asked. I shook my head. He nodded. I lean into him and sigh.
"I'm glad you're here this time." I say. Then thinking about it send a text warning Sara not to come over and having her tell everyone not to because of the shooting,
"Me too." said Zak holding me. I lean up and kiss him.
"If need be I have an AK-47 under my bed. dads rules. Long story. I do have a license for it though."
Zak smiles.
"What?"
"You're awesome."
I smile to myself and think about how good hes going to be for me. All of a sudden my phone goes off millions of times from once. I got a reply from everyone. Except Sara... I start crying. I may not have liked her but I didnt want her to die.
By know the shootings long gone. I look out the window to see three bodies on the ground. One is my neighbor Eli, the other is her dog Max and the last, I'm sure it's Sara. Until, I look over and see her walking, phone in hand. She then sent me a text saying to open the door. I kisssed Zak for one long minute and then ran downstairs to find Sara at the door with blood covering her.
"What happened?"
"I wanted to see if any one lived. I tried to save them." She said panting.
"Get in here" I say, closing the door, I call for Zak.
He gets down stairs quickly and screams when he sees his sister.
"WHAT DID YOU DO?!?!?!" He yelled. Frozen where he was i was trying to clean up Sara
"Zak, relax. Go lock up the door. Now" I say. He runs to get the door. Then we hear One more shoot fired...
