I told you I love this, right? The elegiac feel of it, the goodbye that even Danny doesn't really believe is goodbye, though maybe he pretends he wants it to be. And Rusty knowing it won't be, confident, but still a little hurt at the way Danny always needs to push away.

Sigh. They really are such stupid boys.

Thank you so much! For the feedback now and the beta then. And I'm really glad you still enjoy it.

Thank you so much for this story. It's perfect. I love the one last heist idea as Danny plans to settle down. I love the ease beteween the two of them. And I love how while it's supposed to be "goodbye" neither gets too upset because they don't really believe it. SO very good. Thank you again!

Woo! I'm delighted you enjoyed it, and thank *you* for leaving such lovely feedback.

And I love how while it's supposed to be "goodbye" neither gets too upset because they don't really believe it.

*nod* They're stupid enough to say it, but at least not stupid enough to believe it. *g* I'm really glad that worked, because it's what I love about them -- that it really will always come back round to them, and they both know it.

Thank you again. I really am thrilled you liked it.

This is really wonderful, very them. Sad and yet not, because you can see where they'll wind up and it's so sweet that Rusty's willing to wait.
